> Project Legacy is a UK-based deep-tech company building a neuroscience-inspired neuromorphic semiconductor platform for adaptive, energy-efficient AI in robotics, autonomy and edge intelligence.

## About

Project Legacy Ltd designs brain-inspired neuromorphic compute hardware. The architecture uses event-driven spiking neural networks, massive parallelism and on-chip learning to deliver order-of-magnitude improvements in energy efficiency over conventional GPUs and existing neuromorphic chips.

Co-founded by:
- Ricky Patel, PhD — Co-founder & CEO. Neuroscientist (Clinical Neuroscience, ALS/Dementia molecular research) and founder of Point Science Analytics, an AI-powered technical due diligence platform.
- Prof. Dr. Yulia Sandamirskaya — Co-founder & CTO. Former Applications Research Lead at Intel Labs, co-author of the Loihi 2 research paper, and co-founder of YuRo AG and Auroniq Robotics.

## Benchmarks (simulated)

- Energy per task: ~0.3001 mJ
- ~2,399× more energy efficient than NVIDIA Jetson Orin
- ~60× more energy efficient than Intel Loihi 2

Based on a simulated humanoid robotics workload (moving an object in a hazardous environment with humans present). Energy estimations reference published data for similar workloads. Simulator is under active refinement; numbers are subject to change.
